The Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra”, backed by Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, launched a counter-offensive at the Al-Malaah Farms of northern Aleppo on Wednesday in order to recover the territory they lost to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) this past weekend. The jihadist rebel assault proved successful after two VBIEDs (vehicle borne improvised explosive device) struck the Syrian Arab Army’s positions at the northern farms of Al-Malaah. As a result of these VBIED strikes, the Syrian Armed Forces withdrew north from the Al-Malaah Farms to the Handarat Mountains in order to regroup against the jihadist rebel factions in northern Aleppo.
According to a member of the Tiger Forces, their units did not suffer many casualties; however, in order to prevent this from happening, they had to withdraw from the Al-Malaah Farms.
