Meanwhile, pro-government sources distribute controversial reports that the SAA is preparing the so-called “major offensives” in both Aleppo and Homs provinces. According to reports, the advance in Homs is expected in the direction of the town of Arak with an additional strike on T-3 Pumping Station. The strategic goal is to liberate Deir Ezzor. In Aleppo, SAA units allegedly deployed to the villages of Rityan and Al-Zahra, aiming to drive back Al-Nusra from Anadan Plains. Simultaneous major operations in the both provinces are hardly possible. Considering tense situation at the Syrian fronts, the SAA and its allies don’t have enough manpower for full-scale actions in 2 directions.

The symbolism of this event is enormous. For the first time in the history of Russia of the head of the Russian state and the Russian Church together visited Athos, the Holy Mountain. Athos is the cradle of the Byzantine spirit.
We constantly use the word “people”. In our Constitution it is the people considered to be the highest authority, giving legitimacy to the state system. To the people refer us politicians and officials, journalists and experts in sociology. It would seem that nothing can be plainer than the concept of “people”. But it is worth examining closely, and we understand: that word is filled with many conflicting values.

JMG explains the rules of The Rescue Game, in which elites anoint groups of victims to console and perpetrators to punish. The game requires willing participants, and now that the previous occupants of the perpetrator role have refused to play, the game has entered the circular firing-squad phase in which the rescuers turn on each other for want of willing participants to play the role of perpetrator.
In episode 11, Felix finally gets a real microphone and we’re joined by Rolling Stone’s Matt Taibbi (@MTaibbi) to talk election stuff. Is the GOP dead? Or like ‘The Thing’ will it reform and spawn some new abomination? On the other side, why are Clinton supporters angrier now then they’ve ever been?
