Recent revelations in the American press that Obama regards Erdogan as a loser and autocrat only complete the picture of bad relations between the U.S. and Turkey. In the American plans for military operations in Syria and Iraq, Turkey plays a modest role of border control, with the main rate is made on the Kurds and the choice for Ankara absolutely unbearable, because before the Arab spring the US has avoided so clearly to show its support for the Kurdish autonomist aspirations.Abuse steps in the “unnamed countries of democratic orientation” comes from the fact that the diplomatic way of smoothing those contradictions were unsuccessful and the conflict became public plane. The Kurds everything is just a joy, as these contradictions open up more opportunities to fight for their freedom. That is why, though the West condemns the terrorist acts of the Kurds in Turkish cities, but they are a terrorist organization does not recognize, considering them rather as rebels and not terrorists (there is actually quite a fine line, which depends on subjective interpretations).
Nearly five years after Fort Bragg’s 18th Airborne Corps helped close out the war in Iraq, the unit’s headquarters will return to the region to head the fight against the Islamic State.
The corps headquarters will deploy to Kuwait this summer to serve as the core of Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve.
The deployment was one of two involving Fort Bragg soldiers announced Friday.
The other will see about 400 soldiers from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division deploy to Korea as part of a rotation of aviation forces there.
The 18th Airborne Corps will send about 450 soldiers for deployment. They will replace the III Corps from Fort Hood, Texas, Army officials said. And are expected to be deployed for about a year.
The offensive against the Caliphate in Palmyra, reflects the clear purpose to obtain the political and image bonuses of liberating this ancient city. In recent days, the SAA was able to take a number of important heights on the outskirts of Palmyra and a lull on the fronts against most of the “green” creates a window of time for the implementation of offensive purposes in Palmyra area (as I understand it, the group comes on the Palmyra received reinforcement by forces liberated the province Homs).
